1st Semester Reflection

Part 1:
When analyzing my quality of work I can say that i have tried to incorporate creative twists to each project. I like messing around with photo editors and see what new things I can learn and create. i make sure I fulfill each assignment to the best of my abilities. I usually have 5-6 different ideas i bounce around until one really sticks with me. I make sure all my work is on time and matches the requirements of the assignment.
As for effort when I am shooting a photo I tend to take more photos that necessary and make sure everything is set up perfectly and with a purpose.I tend to do a lot of setting up for the photo to get exactly what I want. if the shot is hard to get or seems challenging to set up, i take the challenge and see if I can shoot it. Sometimes I get the shot while other times I get another better idea for a photo. In photography photos I try and make everything in the photo have a meaning and a purpose so subject matter is utilized to my advantage. As far as my attitude towards other students work, I try and make it positive and constructive. I can learn a lot from my peers work and get new ideas for future projects so I enjoy seeing others interpretations.
When analyzing my participation I schedule my time in order to get my project done in a timely manner. My planning does allow me to have some free time in class as i am efficient with my working time. As none of my assignments were ever late , I can see this method worked out.
A majority of the time I am working independently but sometimes i have to ask for help or someone to bounce ideas off of and visa versa. Sometimes collaboration is just what i need to solve a problem in my project.
Improvement in myself as an artist and confidence in my work is what I plan on working on next semester. I am not sure who I am as an artists so hopefully more shooting projects will allow me to find this out about me. In general, I need to learn to love my work and be proud and confident about what I worked hard to create. Better composition will come with learning more photoshop techniques and learning new tools to help me create a more professional look.
Things I plan on doing differently is to try and shoot images with an actual camera and learn new shooting techniques and incorporate that into my project. I plan on improving my skills in photoshop I would like to get more sophisticated at it as knowing how to use that program has always been appealing to me.
Part 2:
Something i wanted to do with photography is learn cool technique to enhance photos while shooting.Having interesting photography projects allow me to become creative and think about what I want to create. Using water or lights in a specific way to make the photo more interesting could be a fun project.
